Youth Futures Foundation

Founded in March 2019, Youth Futures Foundation was established in response to the government’s allocation of dormant accounts money to issues relating to youth employment.

Youth Futures Foundation have been allocated £90 million from dormant bank accounts, and will work to remove the barriers preventing disadvantaged young people from entering the labour market. The organisation will have a particular focus on addressing the ethnic disparities in youth unemployment.

Youth Futures Foundation is currently working on its initial strategy, which will look to support those young people who are furthest from the labour market. In addition to directly supporting those organisations and individuals who are already tackling youth unemployment, Youth Futures Foundation will engage and convene partners from all sectors to help build interventions and programmes that include the voice of both young people themselves and of employers in their design and delivery. Youth Futures Foundation will also develop and share evidence about how

best to tackle youth unemployment and use this evidence to influence practice and policy.

Youth Futures Foundation is a company limited by guarantee with its own Board of Directors. BST is its sole corporate member.
